6月19日到20日，英国诺丁汉大学举行了为期两天的校园开放日活动，诺丁汉大学孔子学院受邀参加。

开放日的举办，旨在向社区高中毕业生和家长介绍大学情况，提供各学院资料和咨询服务，帮助高中毕业生了解大学各专业情况，吸引他们报考该大学。诺丁汉孔子学院已经多次参加了大学开放日活动。

此次活动孔子学院的展品颇具中国特色，有象棋、围棋、跳棋等中国棋，华容道、九连环、七巧板等文娱用品等，吸引了大批观众前来参观学习。展览中，孔院教师讲解并展示了中国书法等项目，人们纷纷在书法现场体验桌前排起了长龙，希望体会用毛笔写字的感觉。

诺丁汉大学师生和社区民众对孔子学院参加语言和文化展示表现出极大的兴趣和热情。活动结束后，学生们纷纷表达了对中国文化的喜爱之情。孔子学院出现在开放日本身就具有“开放”的意义，可以让更多的英国民众了解中国文化和语言，对中国更加熟悉。

Nottingham Confucius Institute participated in the Open Day of Nottingham University

From June 19 to June 20 the University of Nottingham held a two-day Open Day Event. The Confucius Institute at the University of Nottingham was invited to participate.

The Open Days is intended to introduce the university to high school students and their parents in the local community. The university offers information and suggestions to help high school graduates know the different professions of the university and attract them to attend the university. Nottingham Confucius Institute has participated in the Open Day University.

Nottingham Confucius Institute exhibits considerable things with Chinese characteristics, chess, checkers and other Chinese chess, Huarong Dao, Nine Rings, Jigsaw and other cultural goods, which attracted a large number of visitors to visit and study. In the exhibition, teachers of Confucius Institute explained and demonstrated Chinese calligraphy and other projects.

People in the local community showed great interest and enthusiasm in the language and cultural exhibition by Nottingham Confucius Institute. After the event, lots of students expressed their love of Chinese culture.  Confucius Institute’s participation in the Open Day makes more British people understand Chinese language and culture and know more about China.
