10月20日，诺丁汉孔子学院五名汉语教师在Nottingham Academy中学举行中国文化工作坊，给130余名中学师生带来了丰富的文化活动，包括汉语课，书法，剪纸，太极拳和中国传统乐器等，获得了校内师生的热烈欢迎。

    活动日当天，各个工作坊以重复轮流的方式展开。汉语课上，刘晓丹老师教授了汉语日常用语如“你好”“谢谢”等，同学们学习兴趣浓厚，下课后马上用汉语互相问候；书法课上，李冉老师从汉字的笔画和间架结构讲起，教学生写了“福”“羊”等字；剪纸课上，吴爱玉老师教学生剪出灯笼和窗花等作品，同学们兴致勃勃地展示着；乐器课上，叶李贝贝老师给学生介绍了埙、陶笛、竹笛、箫、葫芦丝等传统乐器，并让学生亲身体验，最后表演了《月光下的凤尾竹》，让同学们感受到了中国民乐的美妙。太极课上，黄冰老师带领班上学生学习太极拳的基本功，锻炼柔韧性和腿部力量，拉伸筋骨，同学们都觉得受益匪浅。

    当天的总结大会上，由五位老师选出了25名优秀学生，并赠予精美的中国结工艺品作为奖励。叶李贝贝老师还向学校师生介绍了孔子课堂的情况，Nottingham Academy的校领导和同学们都很感兴趣。最后，同学们纷纷向五位中国老师致以最热情的掌声，感谢她们的辛勤付出。

Nottingham Confucius Institute Carries Out Chinese Culture Workshop at Nottingham Academy School

On 20^th Oct. 2015, 5 teachers from Nottingham Confucius Institute delivered a culture workshop to Nottingham Academy School, including Mandarin Taster Lesson, Calligraphy, Taiji, Paper Cutting and Instruments. The workshop was warmly welcomed by the teachers and students of the school.

The 5 workshops ran repeatedly during the whole day. In the mandarin taster lesson, Xiaodan taught some basic conversation such as “Hello” and “thank you”. The students used these sentences to greet with each other immediately. Li Ran taught the radicals of characters and helped the students to write some Chinese characters. Aiyu leaded the students to finish some paper cutting handcraft, and Beibei brought many instruments for the students to experience. Huang Bing introduced Taiji to the students and leaded them to do some basic stretch and movements.

During the assembly at the end of the day, 25 best students selected in each session were awarded a gift. Beibei Yeli, the deputy manager for Confucius Classroom gave a short speech which inspired many students to go on learning Mandarin. The whole day event ended with a great success.
