当地时间5月7日，诺丁汉孔子学院应邀参加诺丁汉大学开放日，作为“历史与文化”环节的一部分，孔院布置的“中国角”以琴、棋、书、画四大传统特色向观众展出，吸引了诸多当地家庭的参与。

    中国传统乐器琵琶、中阮的独特使很多孩子驻足观看，并跃跃欲试；中国象棋以及三国华容道都是极具中国特色的游戏，虽然对于外国孩子来说，那些汉字他们都不认识，但是其中的道理与规则他们可以无师自通，虽然尝试了很多遍还是无法解救曹操，但是一点儿都不妨碍他们沉迷其中；中国传统书画更是受到孩子们的喜爱，自己对照涂描的中国熊猫让他们爱不释手，或者亲手制作一幅喷墨红梅，都让他们惊艳不已。

    孔院提供的活动与项目一直是大学开放日很受欢迎的一部分，我们也一直积极参与大学的活动，争取更多的机会展示与传播中国文化。

Nottingham Confucius Institute takes part in the Family Discovery Day

May 7, Nottingham Confucius Institute was invited to the Family Discovery Day as part of the "History and Culture" session to open to families. The China corner, arranged into four very traditional parts which are Chinese instruments, Chinese chess, Chinese calligraphy and painting, attracts the participation of many local families.

Chinese traditional musical instrument pipa and Zhong Ruan, the Chinese guitar is very popular and so many children stopped to watch, and eager to touch as well. Though they don’t understand any characters of the Chinese Chess games or the wooden toys of Three Kingdoms, many children are still addicted to it. Traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy are more loved by the children. Learning to paint a Chinese panda or an ink plum blossom is like a marvel to them.

Activities and projects provided by the Confucius Institute has been a very popular part of the university open day. We have been actively involved in activities of the University and trying to get more chances to introduce and promote Chinese culture.
