Minister-Counselor Tian Xiaogang and First Secretary of Education section Mr. Qiao Fenghe had a warm and cheerful conversation with the 5 volunteer teachers from Fudan University who work in the Confucius Institute for Scotland. They asked about their teaching and living in Edinburgh, and encouraged them to work hard and make contributions to the cooperation between Fudan University and the University of Edinburgh. 5 volunteer teachers also talked with other teachers and volunteers during the reception to learn more about working and living in the UK. They had a very special and happy Lantern Festival. 
相聚伦敦 共庆元宵——记复旦志愿者赴伦敦参加元宵晚会

2012年2月3日晚，中国驻英大使馆教育处在伦敦为各孔子学院的国家公派汉语教师、志愿者举办新春招待会。苏格兰爱丁堡大学孔子学院的五位复旦志愿者们与来自英国各地的汉语教师及志愿者们齐聚一堂，欢庆元宵。
公使衔参赞田小刚首先代表使馆教育处向在英全体国家公派汉语教师、志愿者致以最诚挚的节日问候，并向春节期间辛苦工作、奋斗在汉语教学事业第一线上的教师们送上新春祝福。随后，孔子学院中方院长，汉语教师及志愿者代表们也相继发言，分享各地不同的汉语教学经验及感受。一些教师和志愿者还向大家献上了自己精心编排的民族舞蹈、歌曲独唱等节目。
招待会上，乔凤鸣第一秘书、田小刚公参与爱丁堡大学孔子学院五位复旦志愿者亲切交谈，热心询问了生活情况及工作情况，鼓励大家为复旦和爱丁堡大学之间的合作而努力工作。此外，复旦志愿者也积极和其他教师们交流经验、互相沟通，在海外度过了一个温暖特别的元宵节。
Lantern Festival Celebration in London
On February 3th, 2012, the Education Section of Embassy of China in UK held a Lantern Festival Reception for Chinese teachers and volunteers from different parts of UK in London. 5 volunteer teachers from Fudan University working at the Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh joined this wonderful party, celebrating the lantern festival with other colleagues in UK.
Minister-Counselor Tian Xiaogang sent his best regards to the Chinese teachers and volunteers who work in the UK, and also to those who were still working during the Spring Festival. Representatives of Chinese co-directors of the Confucius Institutes, Chinese teachers and volunteers shared their experience in living and working in the UK. Some teachers and volunteers also gave wonderful performances during the reception.
