2012 龙年迎春节系列庆典活动报道(三)

  伦敦时间2012月1月29日,龙年春节庆典露天舞台晚会在诺丁汉大学主校区成功举办。此场晚会将诺丁汉郡中国龙年系列庆典活动推向高潮。
    下午4点30分,由中国国际社区成员和当地社区成员表演的音乐舞蹈、传统舞龙和舞狮,以及来自中国重庆的专业舞蹈设计师Rong Tao的精彩新舞,为现场的1500余名观众带来了一场美轮美奂的视觉盛宴。

 

  在晚会上,诺丁汉大学孔子学院的汉语教师志愿者马思鸣和叶李贝贝合奏的葫芦丝曲目《月光下的凤尾竹》将现场观众带到了饱含浓郁民族风情的七彩云南。悠扬一曲,令台下所有的观众耳目一新、如痴如醉。

  诺丁汉大学执行校长David Greenaway教授在晚会开始前致辞,他说:“为什么诺丁汉大学每年都会举办春节系列庆典活动,而且一年比一年办得好?因为诺丁汉大学同中国有着十分特殊的关系。因此,我们一定会尽力多争取国际的资助,把明年的迎春活动搞得更好,为中英友谊发展贡献力量。

  晚会末尾,焰火表演正式开始。伴着优美的乐曲,美丽壮观的烟花在夜空中绚烂绽放。欢呼声、喝彩声连成一片、此起彼伏。烟火表演将诺丁汉郡中国龙年系列庆典推向了高潮!

     Chinese New Year Celebrations: Open-stage performance and fireworks
     London time 29 January 2012, Year of Dragon Chinese New Year celebrations at the main campus of the University of Nottingham was held in the form of open-stage performance followed by a show of fireworks. It brought Chinese Year of Dragon series of celebrations of Nottinghamshire to a climax.

     The performance involved music and dance performed by members of our visiting international Chinese community and local community, featuring traditional Lion dance and Dragon Dances, and the first ever performances of several new works created especially for young East Midlands dancers by visiting professional choreographer Rong Tao from Chonqing. It was a really magnificent visual feast to about 1500 audiences.

 The Chinese teachers of the Confucius Institute of Nottingham University Ma siming and Yeli Beibei played " Bambusa Multiplex Under the Moonlight " by Hulusi. It brought the audience to an ethnic colourful place in Yunnan province.
     The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, Professor David Greenaway delivered a short speech before the performance began. He said, the University of Nottingham has a unique tie with China and that is why the Chinese New Year Celebrations are held in Nottingham University every year, and that’s why they are done better year after year! He also said that he will try to win more international funding for bigger-scaled and more wonderful celebrations of the Chinese New Year next spring.
     The end of the celebration featured a magnificent show of fireworks. Accompanied by beautiful music, spectacular fireworks bloomed in the night sky. All the audiences enjoyed the moment. It brought the Chinese Year of Dragon Celebrations at the University of Nottingham to a climax.
