汉办高级顾问纪宝成教授访问诺丁汉大学和孔子学院

2012年6月4日，中国人民大学前校长、汉办高级顾问纪宝成教授一行三人访问了诺丁汉大学及诺大孔子学院，受到诺丁汉大学执行副校长David Greenaway教授、副校长Chris Rudd教授、诺大当代中国学学院院长、孔子学院院长姚树洁教授以及孔子学院全体人员的热情接待。
当天下午三时许，纪教授一行到达诺丁汉大学孔子学院，等候在此的Chris Rudd教授、姚树洁教授等同来宾热情握手，并同来宾在孔子学院图书室进行了交谈。姚树洁教授首先向纪教授介绍了诺丁汉大学当代中国学学院的概况，然后，纪宝成教授简单介绍了他此行要推介的汉办重要项目：“新汉学国际研修计划”博士生奖学金项目，并当场对在场的一位当代中国学学院的博士生Elzbieta Pron表示赞赏，并表示已决定招收这位学生作博士后研修生。
随后，纪教授一行在Rudd副校长、姚教授一行的陪同之下，参观了诺大的Jubilee校区，参观了正在建造中的当代中国学学院的新大楼“思源楼”。该楼将于今年9月竣工投入使用，其中有一个楼层将给孔子学院使用。随后，纪教授一行前往主校区University Park 参观。
晚上，David Greenaway校长设宴招待纪教授一行，并进行了友好交谈。副校长Chris Rudd,姚树洁院长、孔子学院执行院长陈建博士、中方院长唐荣杰等作陪。
Hanban’s Senior Advisor Professor Ji visits Nottingham University and Nottingham Confucius Institute
Former Principal of Chinese Renming University, Senior Advisor to Hanban, Prof. Baocheng Ji visited Nottingham University and Nottingham Confucius Institute (NCI), and was warmly welcomed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. David Greenaway, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chris Rudd, Head of School of Contemporary Chinese Studies (SCCS) Prof. Shujie Yao and all staff of the NCI.
The delegation of three headed by Prof. Ji arrived at about 3 in the afternoon and were met by Prof. Rudd and Prof. Yao and all NCI staff, who have been waiting in the NCI for hours. Hosts and guests had a warm and constructive talk, with Prof. Yao first introducing to the guests SCCS and NCI briefly and then Prof. Ji introducing to hosts the new program “New International China Studies Scholarships for Enrolling Ph.D Students”. Prof. Ji was Pleased to enrol Ela Pron, the Ph.D student of SCCS as a post-Ph.D student.
Accompanied by Prof.Rudd and Prof. Yao, Prof. Ji took a tour of the Jubilee Campus of Nottingham University, and also inspected the under-construction new SCCS office building “SIYUAN LOU”, a whole floor of which, prof. Yao said, will be used by NCI when it is completed. Then, Prof. Ji and the delegation went to University Park to take a tour of the main campus of Nottingham University.
In the evening, Vice-Chancellor David Greenaway gave a banquet to treat Prof. Ji and his delegation. Mr Greenaway and Mr Ji had a friendly chat over dinner. Prof. Rudd, Prof. Yao, Executive Director of NCI Dr JianChen, and Chinese Director of NCI Rongjie Tang were present at the dinner.
